Successful 1st Community Event!

Last night the Social Events Committee hosted our 1st National Night Out Event.

We had over 50 neighbors in attendance. Neighbors enjoyed Face painting, a Magic show with live animals, bouncy houses, bubbles, a coloring activity, free drinks and popsicles to stay cool and chips to snack on. From 6pm-7pm we had 3 Southeast Raleigh Police officers in attendance. They had handouts for upcoming activities for the kids being hosted by the Raleigh Police Department and Gun Awareness Bracelets. Kids also enjoyed seeing the lights on the police cars. It was a great opportunity to meet our local police officers. A US Army recruiter also attended and gave out free water bottles, drawstring backpacks, and wireless bluetooth speakers.

I would like to thank everyone that came out to enjoy our 1st Community Event.

I really enjoyed meeting and talking with so many of my neighbors. During the event I was able to snap a few pictures that I wanted to share with everyone. If you have any pictures you took during the event, please post them in the comments below. I would love to see them!

Our next community event will be the "Rock the Block" Party on Sept. 14th from 3pm-8pm. Be on the lookout for more information.

A Special Thank You goes out to all of the volunteers who made this event happen. I appreciate you and all of your hard work.
